New release with bug fixes and ad support

It is been about a year since we have released wwigo and it’s adoption has exceed our expectations quite significantly.
Today we made a new release with fixes for many issues reported by users, also this release includes an ad supported wwigo version for select few phones. We would like you to give us feedback on this new release in the comments or forum.

Certificate error issue fixed

Many of you had been facing the issue of certification expiry on wwigo installation in  phone. The fix has been successfully applied that  solves the problem. Now you can download wwigo and use it without any issue.

Download issues fixed

Some of the most frequent support requests of late have been related to download issues and we fixed almost all of them. Leave out a comment if you run into issues, due to the volume of comments and mails that we recieve we are not able to reply to every mail but let me assure that we have are constantly working on the feedback received and fixing all issues at the earliest as possible.

Crossed 50,000 downloads

Just before we did the release the we were around 48k+ downloads, the release caused a few quicker uptakes and we crossed the 50,000 mark. Though we admit that there are many glitches in the software(which we are working on to fix) and there are few mistakes that we have made but we are quite happy that many users seem to be using the product quite well. A recent user comment in the forum had us jumping with glee. forum comments

Mistake about Phone supported

By mistake we added  N97 (fake phone) as a supported phone in our last release.  Thanks to Jan van Iperen for pointing about this slip up on our side. We have removed it from the download list now,  we apologize to the community for the confusion caused.

New Version release, IVT support

We just made a new release for wwigo, the major changes included is the addition of support for the IVT bluetooth stack, the most demand feature request from the community. So if you were not able to use wwigo so far due to your IVT stack now you can :)  In addition to that we have released fixes for few bugs with MSN live messenger usage and minor quirks with Widcomm drivers.

Fringging India

The first thing that I did after we purchased our N80 for extending wwigo onto S60 3rd edition devices was to install and check out Fring on it. I had used fring before when Veer and I did test calls on it using his 6630 with a GPRS connection on the one end and gtalk on the other end which worked fine and we were able to listen to each other with very little channel disturbance. Eversince I was eagerly waiting to test it out on a Wifi connection and the experience of a fring call on a N80 phone to my friend in US on skype was just marvelous.    It has a very neat and clean UI, works on so many protocols (also supports SIP) and the perceptible audio quality was much better than a normal mobile phone call.  Ever since it has been one of my favourite Series 60 application.   I recently noticed that Fring had started an India blog  and moreover Alon of Fring thinks our application wwigo is very handy which is pretty cool :)
